Changing lives one pair of shoes at a time

Our mission is simple: we want to put a pair of shoes on every child’s foot. But it’s about much more than mere laces and soles. By collecting and distributing shoes globally to children, we aim to make a positive influence on young lives, bolstering their emotional wellbeing and improving their educational opportunities.

Two ways we make a difference

Feet First For Hope collects shoes for children in two significant ways.

We receive most new items from corporations, stores and retailers which we send directly to people in need, both in Canada and overseas.

At the same time, Feet First For Hope receives numerous new and used shoes from generous individuals, schools, faith-based institutions, civic organizations and corporate partners.

We sort all donated items through our national warehouse system and store them at our Feet First For Hope storage facility. Our Feet First staff repackages each pair of new and used shoes and places them in customized bags bearing our logo. The shoes are then labelled as necessary and shipped to children in countries where the need is greatest.

To us, each bag we send out holds much more than a pair of shoes. Each bag offers a child the opportunity to walk with pride and self-respect. It gives them the means to go to school and receive an education.  And most importantly, it touches their lives in a positive hopeful way, giving them the confidence to discover their full potential.
