Feet First For Hope is a non-profit children’s organization dedicated to providing a good comfortable pair of shoes for children who go to school without shoes or don’t attend school because they have no shoes.

In Canada, we take our shoes for granted. We put them on every day without giving them a second thought. But imagine having to go to school barefoot. Being teased and bullied by the other students because you can’t afford shoes. Feeling self-conscious, ashamed and worthless every day you go to school.

Shoe poverty affects thousands of children around the world. But the issue goes far deeper than simply not having shoes on their feet. At Feet First, we believe the feelings these children experience negatively influence their formative years and damage their psychological development. Shoe poverty alienates them, it hinders their education; it changes their very lives.
